The Curse of Magic series is an epic fantasy trilogy centering around humans and elves trying to survive in a harsh, dangerous world on the outskirts of a massive, almost impenetrable jungle. But beyond the vicious beasts that venture outside to hunt, a resistance is brewing, looking to dethrone the High Elven Council.
Book 1

As a Cursed elf, one born with no magic, Edwyr has been forced to live among humans for over ten years. He doesn’t mind his job of defending the town that he now lives in from beast attacks, and he gets along with most of the humans well enough, but he can never quite make the bitterness and resentment over being exiled go away.

Life goes on as usual until a talented but inexperienced elf named Feyrith arrives and tells Edwyr that the High Elven Council wants him to help Feyrith on a quest. Despite his hatred towards the Council, Edwyr ends up agreeing, if only because he doubts Feyrith can survive a trip like this alone.

The task is to investigate strange magical energies in a ruin a few days’ travel away. Edwyr assumes that the only thing to worry about will be avoiding getting killed by the jungle wildlife, but the mission turns much more complicated when they stumble across a conspiracy that aims to change everything about the elven society. Including both of their destinies.

In the wake of losing his magic, Feyrith struggles to adapt and survive the new and constant onslaught from the feral jungle beasts, trying to keep himself as well as Sunwood alive. Something unnatural has disturbed the beasts and though it's dangerous, it quickly becomes apparent that the only way to stop this is to form a group and journey to the heart of the jungle to find out the truth behind the issue.
Unknown to Feyrith, another party is headed to the jungle, though for completely different reasons. A group Edwyr's a part of that is looking for a reliable source of magic. He's enjoyed his newfound magic and budding relationship with Wyn, but not all is as it seems, for Wyn is keeping a dark secret from Edwyr about how he'd gained said magic in the first place. A secret that could tear them apart.
As both groups venture into the dark jungle filled with beasts waiting to devour them, they are faced with dangers that go beyond simple animals. But no matter what the jungle throws at them, they must keep going. The fate of the world hinges on it.
