It took far longer than any of my previous projects, including CotS—a four part series of novels—but now, with 6 epilogues, Nightstar is finally finished.
To be fair, though, the last book ended up clocking 175K words, making it by far the longest book I've ever written. Of course, that will shift with editing, but probably not by much, I'm pleased with how the plots and subplots turned out, so any editing will be mostly prose, grammar, and typo focused.
These books took a lot out of me, at points making me feel as though I would just never end up finishing them, so I definitely will stay away from such large, complex stories for a bit so I don't burn myself out. But I'm very happy I didn't give up. These characters deserved their endings, and the plot deserved its conclusion.
I'm going to pick up where I left off with Curse of Magic, just because there's only one book left. See you there.
